Archbishop Salvatore

Welcome to the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, the mother church of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.  The Cathedral is the site of beautiful liturgies and concerts, and home to a vibrant parish community and large event center. It is a solemn and sacred space for private prayer in the midst of the busy city.  I hope you will join us, enjoy the Cathedral, and herein allow yourself to be drawn closer to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

– Most Reverend Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco
