There are many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer at the Cathedral, every week or on special occasions.

During services we need Ushers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Service and Hospitality Hosts.

The Archdiocesan Docent Program trains and assigns knowledgeable volunteers who conduct tours of the Cathedral, especially for school children.

Parishioners with professional skills who would like to serve on committees are also encouraged to speak with staff about providing their expertise.

Short-term commitments include Administrative Tasks such as mailings or survey-taking, etc.;  Special Event tasks, such as Registration, Directional Control, set-up and take-down; Cleaning-Day Crew in the Cathedral and on the grounds.

50th Anniversary Jubilee Year!

The Cathedral is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary from May 5, 2021 to May 5, 2022. During the year we will need volunteers to help put on many special events with our staff and committees. We may also need help with a variety of our regular celebrations of feast days and musical concerts as we are planning expanded programs and attendees.

If you are seriously interested in contributing your time and effort to help at the Cathedral, please use the Contact email admin@smcsf.org and tell us what you would like to do and your possible time commitment. Minors who are interested must have their parents contact us. Please provide a telephone number and/or email address.
